Jill Mansell's enchanting new novel will drive readers to seize life with both hands and make the most of every minute...
Hallie has a secret. She's in love. He's perfect for her in every way, but he's seriously out of bounds. And her friends aren't going to help her because what they do know is that Hallie doesn't have long to live. Time is running out...
Flo has a dilemma. She really likes Zander. But his scary sister won't be even faintly amused if she thinks Zander and Flo are becoming friends - let alone anything more.
Tasha has a problem. Her new boyfriend is the adventurous type. And she's afraid one of his adventures will go badly wrong.
THREE AMAZING THINGS ABOUT YOU begins as Hallie goes on a journey. A donor has been found and she's about to be given new lungs. But whose?

Jill Mansell always manages to make me feel like I’m reading a book version of Love Actually where we’re following three different storylines and somehow they all intertwine at the end, wrapped up with a neat little ribbon and a satisfied smile on my face.

First of all, there’s Hallie, who suffers from cystic fibrosis and is on the waiting list for a new pair of lungs. It could be any day now, but she knows there’s not much time left. On top of that, she’s got feelings for her handsome doctor, which could never work out, so that’s kind of awkward. Enter her ex-boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend and things just get more complicated than they ever should be.

Then we have Tasha, who’s pretty much the only single girl in her group of friends, until she meets Rory. He’s perfect for her, except for the fact that he’s an adrenalin junkie and she’s really anxious about him getting hurt. Is there such a thing as being too adventurous?

Last but not least, Flo inherits a cat, and the cat inherits a flat, so Flo is required to move in with the flat and the cat. This causes great resentment in Lena, the flat owner’s granddaughter, who’d been eyeing the flat for years (though the cat not so much). Lena is destined to hate Flo for life. Lena’s brother, Zander, however, falls in love with Flo. Imagine the family dinner parties! This should be fun.

I haven’t read a lot of Jill Mansell’s work, but I know that every single time, she manages to create unique stories which are warm, witty, and wonderful. The romances are stinkingly adorable if slightly unrealistic (but that doesn’t take away from the enjoyment) and the characters never fail to put a smile on my face. Three Amazing Things About You is no exception and has become my favourite story of hers so far.

This story in particular is quite a heart-warming one because it deals with quite a heavy topic, cystic fibrosis and impending death, as well as organ donation, which makes it all the more brilliant when the story ends on a positive note. Apart from that, the story stays with you after you’ve read the final page. It makes you think and it inspires you, and I think that’s a wonderful feeling to be left with.

Sharing is caring!
