Good day, Wonderlings!
To start off with: I’m not a scheduled reader. In fact, I try and try again to give myself a goal every month — what books I will read, what series I will finally start/finish, ARCs I’m going to plough through before their archive dates — and it never happens. I’m a mood reader, through and through, and unfortunately being a mood reader also means going through month-long slumps where you hate everything and everyone.
However, I thought I’d finally try and tackle my monumental TBR, and do it in a fun way. A way that maybe you guys can join in too, and then we can throw confetti and glitter at each other and celebrate in style. Of course, by celebrate I mean drink copious amounts of coffee in our pajamas and watch Law and Order: SVU reruns until our eyeballs burn right out of our heads. Doesn’t that sounds like fun?
November TBR Challenge:
- Week 1: Read a Fantasy Title You’ve Been Staring At Forever
- Week 2: Read a Book You Previously DNFed/Placed On Hold
- Week 3: Read the Next Book In a Series
- Week 4: Read a Book You Were Supposed to Read in 2016
In November, following the prompts, I’m planning on reading:
Ruined by Amy Tintera
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima
The Dark Days Club by Allison Goodman
Chances are, I’ll probably change my mind halfway through the month and read whatever I feel like, but having goals is a good way to plan your upcoming reads. The above template does not need to be followed to the T: feel free to spice it up however you like, and to change your mind however many times you like, too!
If you’re going to take part in our monthly challenges, link up with us! I’d love to see what you guys are planning on reading, and to fangirl with you all. If you happen to plan on reading something someone else is also planning on reading, buddy-reading is a sure-fire way to finishing a book and hitting your monthly goal.
So what are you guys planning on reading this month? Will you join our monthly TBR challenges, or do you prefer going solo? Let me know in the comments below!
