Thus concludes the second month of our book club. Are you enjoying yourself? We certainly are. It’s been amazing to see the comment section filled with enthusiasm, the Goodreads group filled with discussion, and our TBR lists are growing exponantially with every recommendation.
Our theme for February was badass female characters! We got to read lots of badass books, talk about admirable women, and support girl power all around. We’re not completely done with it yet, though — the Twitter chat will take place on Saturday, March 4 at 6 PM GMT / 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST. Using the Twitter hashtag #OWBookClub, we’ll be chatting with you and asking you questions about February’s books. There’s also going to be a giveaway, which you should definitely check out if you like a certain recent release containing a magic circus… *waves hands magically* We hope to see you there!
On to a brand new month with a brand new reading theme! You have lent us your voices and cast your votes, and you have chosen…
We are so excited! This was a very close second during last month’s poll, so we’re glad to see you grabbed your second chance. I think this month is going to be very interesting. (Note: they don’t have to be fairytale retellings – they can be retellings of any kind. Shakespeare retellings, classic retellings… as long as it’s a retelling!) I love me some fairytales, and I love me some Disney, and it’s always intriguing to see how people take an existing story and put their own spin on it.
To help you on your way, the four Mistresses of Wonderland have graciously provided you with some recommendations:
Are you excited to get started yet? Make sure you let us know what you’ll be reading, either in the comments section or in the Goodreads group! There’s another giveaway exclusively for our Goodreads members, so make sure you check out this thread. I’ll definitely be reading Hunted (Beauty & the Beast), as well as Drown (The Little Mermaid) and The Collectors’ Society (Alice in Wonderland). You only have to read one book, but us faster readers can handle a few more, methinks. 😉
So that’s all for now! All that’s left for me to do is leave you with the poll for April…
Happy reading! What’s on your book club TBR for March?
