Welcome to another month of the Of Wonderland book club!
In April, we had a very fitting theme for the book club – On TBR Forever. This was the perfect opportunity to take some books off their dusty shelves and finally give them the attention they’ve been waiting for. I really went for it this month and read The Lies of Locke Lamora, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, The Name of the Wind, The Distance Between Us, and The Girl You Left Behind. That’s six books I’ve been meaning to read for ages! Even though I didn’t like all of them, I’m still really pleased with my progress.
Did you have a good reading month as well? Did you enjoy the books you read, or was there a reason why they’ve been sitting on your shelf for ages?
Which brings us to next month’s theme…
Set in a different country!
In May, you want to travel. We hear you, and we’re a little bit in love with this theme ourselves. Pick up some books that inspire wanderlust, books that are set in foreign countries. Learn about different cultures, enrich your knowledge, maybe gather a few travel tips here and there? This is the perfect time to pick up a road trip book, as well. Or maybe a fantasy world inspired by a certain culture? As long as these books take you to a different place, it’s welcome in this month’s theme.
Are you feeling a bit lost? (Don’t mind me, just amusing myself with amazing puns.) Never fear, here are some recommendations from the four of us:
The One Memory of Flora Banks // Wanderlost // With Malice // City of Saints & Thieves // Ink
Between Shades of Grey // The Reluctant Heiress // Alone in Paris // Hello, I Love You // Anna and the French Kiss
I’m sure our Goodreads group will be filled with good titles as well.
So what would you like to read in June?
Happy reading and happy travelling!
What’s your best travel memory?
