Of Wonderland Guild ASSEMBLE! #TheReadingQuest Sign-Up

Greetings, Wonderlings!

As if we didn’t have enough reading to do this month, what with the #OWBookClub and ARC August, we have decided to join in for another fabulous reading challenge! This one is called #TheReadingQuest and it’s a challenge based entirely on videogames. The genius behind this read-a-thon is the fabulous Aentee @ Read At Midnight, and all the amazing graphics you see in this post have been created by CW @ Read, Think, Ponder.

The rules are very detailed and thus hard to summarise in a simple paragraph, but the gist is that you pick a character – bard, rogue, mage, or knight – and follow their path on the bingo board featured below. Each read will then earn you a number of EXP (experience points). The reading challenge takes place from August the 13rd until September the 10th. You can find the sign-up post, with the full rules, on Aentee’s blog post.

We on Of Wonderland are all kind of really nerdy, so we are SO EXCITED to join this challenge and experience all the fun! We also did Aentee’s read-a-thon last year, which was based on Pokémon Go, and it was the coolest. Hosting amazing read-a-thons seems to be Aentee’s special power.

Here are our character cards and intended TBRs.

A book with a one-word title // Sovereign by April Daniels

A book that contains magic // Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

A book based on mythology // The Rose & the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh

A book set in a different world // Air Awakens by Elisa Kova

The first book of a series // The Tiger’s Watch by Julia Ember

A banned book // the handmaid’s tale by margaret atwood

A book cover with a partially obscured face // the epic crush of genie lo by fc yee

A book with <500 ratings on Goodreads // tea dragon society by katie o’neill

A book published by a small press // the color project by sierra abrams

A book with a one-word title // nevernight by jay kristoff

Aly has (maybe wisely) decided not to create a TBR, since she never follows them anyway. But she’s joining up as a Rogue!

If this post has made you excited to join as well, go over to Aentee’s blog post to read all the rules and sign up!

Are you joining the read-a-thon too? What’s your TBR like?

Sharing is caring!

  1. Oh I hope you (inge) will like The Tiger’s Watch and you (wren) The Epic Crush of Genie Lo. I think Genie Lo is one of my favorite reads of the year so far. <3

  2. This challenge looks like SO MUCH FUN and I’m contemplating joining but I’m going to be so busy with school until the new year I don’t think I’ll have much time for reading. Hopefully I can still participate though! 😀

    Enjoy your books!

  3. Only 2 more days to go! Can’t wait to start 🙂
Your TBRs look very interesting and maybe it really is a wise decision not to create a TBR because honestly, I often don’t want to read the books just because I’ve decided to a few weeks earlier.

    Have fun you guys!

    Here’s My TBR
