Yeah, I think it’s fair to say that I’ve had a better reading month than in July! Aside from the two DNFs, I’m pretty pleased with the books I’ve read. A lot of those were ARCs because I was participating in #ARCAugust, and I’m also in a Hunger Games themed challenge and our book club and #TheReadingQuest (which I had to forfeit because all of this was giving me so much anxiety). Suffice it to say I felt pretty swamped at times. I really need to learn to take it easy.

Inge

I’ve basically spent this month reading a lot and playing the Sims a lot. I’ve been playing (and watching) some Sims challenges and they’ve been a lot of fun, but mostly I’m anxiously waiting for the release of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. This comes out TODAY!! But I can’t play it yet because I’m going on holiday tomorrow. So I’ll see you guys in a week’s time, and I hope you are all well. ♥

Anissa

UGH ADULTING IS HARD. I just can’t. Half the time I’m pretty much dying in between work, studying, and sleeping. I love sleeping, I don’t get enough of it these days. Anyhoo, I’ve also barely had any time at all for reading which makes me SO SAD since I have a list of books that I really, really, REALLY want to read but I just can’t seem to get my free time together. Can I go back in time and be ten again? Just for a day? Please? In other news, I’m slowly making better progress with blogging and actually, you know, WRITING ALL THE THINGS so bear with me here! Hopefully, I’ll be able to write a couple of more blog posts for Of Wonderland over the next couple of days. As for any other updates in life, I’ve recently begun re-watching Stranger Things for a THIRD time in preparation for the second season (I’M ACTUALLY DYING) and currently re-watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the SIXTH time, because . . . I can. Yeah, that’s my reason. K BYEEEEE.

Ella

YAY YAY SPRING IS ON THE WAY!! Omg guys, I can’t wait for Winter to be over! I am literally dying for some sunshine haha. Besides slowly disappearing into the worst reading slump ever and stressing over the fact that it’s almost freaking SEPTEMBER and I still have no plans laid out for next year (I’m in my last year of school this year and have no idea what I want to do next year and so I’m STRESSING A LOT) I’ve been binge-watching Suits and spring-cleaning my room which basically means just going through my bookshelves and deciding if I should throw out that one book I have double ups of… #bookwormproblems you guys 😉

Wren

It’s back to school time. -groans-

I’ve had a pretty good month. I went to an Irving Public Library book event. (Recapping coming soon. Ish.) And Anime Fest. (Recap also coming…soon.) I promise I’m not slacking on my duties. I’m just…busy. School, you know?

I’m in 5 Advanced Placement (Aka ‘college level’ classes.) And that’s exciting. But I get my last period off. (Yay!) And I have newspaper in two class periods. (Double yay!) So it’s not a bad schedule. My school is exploring the block schedule, so we have 8 periods, not 7. (Boo.)

But I’ve got a bunch of awesome teachers. It’s the start of a new year with a new mindset. I hope I can keep up my grades and make my school paper amazing.

And how are you?

  1. Inge – You read so many books, wow! I’ve actually felt like playing Sims lately but as school is about to begin I don’t think that’s a good idea as I won’t want to get off the game haha! I’ve also been feeling quite stressed and anxious the past few days so I want to try to take it easy this weekend before all my school work starts next week!

Anissa – I have a copy of This Star Won’t Go Out on my TBR but I’m so scared to read it as I’m a hypochondriac and I know that book is going to give me a case of le anxieties but it also seems like such an important read so WE’LL SEE. Your life sounds super busy at the moment! I hope that things calm down for you soon! 🙂

Ella – I’M ALSO IN MY LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL THIS YEAR AND I’M OFFICIALLY STRESSED *FLAILS*. I’m taking a gap year after school so YAY FOR THAT but ahh I’m really nervous about this year as I need to get super good grades and study hard and I’m feeling the pressure yo. BEST OF LUCK WITH THIS YEAR!!

Wren – The Epic Crush of Genie Lo sounds so good! Glad you enjoyed it! I hope you have a good school year! 🙂

  2. You guys all read so many great books! :))

Ella have you thought about giving the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series a try? These books always help me getting out of a reading slump. I love Suits!! But I’m still stuck in season 5 :/

Inge enjoy your holiday! 🙂 Sad to see you didn’t enjoy Mask of Shadows all too much, it’s somewhere in the middle of my tbr.

Anissa – being an “adult” is so hard right? I can’t cope with work, studying and training either. We just have to keep our cool. Oh and I really want to watch Stranger Things, I haven’t startet it yet.

Wren enjoy your new school year and good luck with all of your classes 🙂

Here’s my August Wrap Up @ Swissbookworm.

    xx Yasmine
